Excitement in the Lamar valley. A lone black wolf was feeding on a kill in the river. Four coyotes took offense and attacked her in very uncharacteristic behavior.
The coyotes surround her.
They move in for the kill taking the much larger wolf to the ground
She battles back
She escapes, bloodied and bruised. The coyotes chase her for nearly half a mile, dropping the chase at the Lamar River.
More odd behavior. At a distance of nearly a mile. A bull Bison chases a Grizzly bear into the trees. Over the span of an hour, a group of four bulls ran the bear off twice.

And he gets a chance to chase away the same bear the bison were chasing earlier. Little guy had a rough day.

He takes an unorthodox style to his digging. He tangled with a porcupine a few weeks earlier, and has quils in his right front paw.
